Join us in Switzerland County, Indiana on August 21-24, 2014 for the 43rd Swiss Wine Festival! Voted one of Indiana Top 10 Events and the #4 Food Festival, the event is more than a dozen award-winning wineries in the famous wine pavilion.* Visit us for carnival rides, arts & crafts, live musicians, riverboat cruises, grape stomping, cheerleading competitions, 5K walk/run, Poker runs, beer gardens and more! Don’t forget the Grand Festival parade on Saturday, August 22 beginning at 10 a.m. in downtown Vevay. Beauty queens, floats, local businesses, horses, emergencies vehicles and more make their way down Main Street.
Diamond Rio is the headline entertainment this year, taking center stage on Friday, August 22 at 8:45 p.m. The concert is free with a $5 festival general admission price.
As is tradition, the Swiss Wine Festival kicks off with the Swiss Polka Dancers. The troupe of local youths has been in existence since 1974–many of the parents of the dancers once performed as well.
